The USA Isn’t Building a Death Star…

THE PLANET-KILLING Death Star may have been the ultimate weapon for the Empire in the “Star Wars” films, but it has no place in the United States military today, a White House official said earlier this year. The statement came in response to a petition to build a real-life Death Star by 2016, which had appeared on the White House website.r2d2
After giving the suggestion more thought than Reagan or Dubya would have given it, US mob-boss Barack Obama turned the idea down (presumably because one is already being built round the back the moon by the Secret Space Program).
So, America won’t be building a Death Star…
china_spaceBut China Might…
AN EXPERT from the China National Space Administration’s Lunar Exploration Programme Centre reportedly told the Beijing Times that the country is planning on installing a lunar military base on the moon by 2050. He said the moon base could be used as a “deadly weapon,” capable of launching missiles against any target on Earth.
The alleged plans drew comparisons with the Death Star, the planet-sized superweapon from the Star Wars films that was powerful enough to destroy actual planets, however the expert allayed any fears by adding that China also has more peaceful lunar ambitions. | More
MEANWHILE, China successfully launched the Chang’e-3 lunar probe early Monday morning from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Chang’e-3 comprises a lander and a moon rover called “Yutu” (Jade Rabbit). The probe will land on the moon mid-December and begin surveying the moon’s geological structure and surface substances, looking for natural resources.
The Chinese apparently also have plans to use the moon as a weapons testing ground, but you’d have to be mad to make any connections between this and that hypothetical Death Star idea…
The Destruction of the Death Star
AN EXAMINATION of some questionable events and circumstances leading up to the destruction of the Death Star, through the eyes of an amateur investigative journalist within the Star Wars galaxy. The focus is mainly on the connections between the people who created and operated the Death Star and those responsible for destroying it.
